Seeds: terms and refunds
Last updated 31 October 2026. Plain words, kept short; the law of your country applies over anything here.
What a seed is
Slow Grove is free, with one maple. A seed is a one-time digital purchase that grows one more maple of the named cultivar in your grove, kept alongside your first. Each seed has a number of its own and comes as a link (a seed packet). Mythical seeds are sold in numbered runs that end when the run is complete; the number is a record of your seed's place in that run, not a security, an investment or a token of any kind, and it has no value outside the game.
What you get
A seed plants once. Open its link in the game and the maple is yours to tend, in the browser or headset you planted it in; until cloud save exists, your grove lives on that device, and a maple can be moved to another device with Share and "Make it mine". The pictures on the shop are grown in the game as examples; the tree a seed grows is shaped by you and will differ.
The game is a living project: its features, seasons and rules change over time, and a future update may bring a mortality rule (a maple that goes long untended can die, as a real one would; the plan gives weeks of grace and a greenhouse stay before that). A seed buys the maple, not a promise that the game stays as it is today.
Prices and payment
Prices are in US dollars. On the web, payment is taken by Stripe on its own checkout page; in the headset app, by the Meta Horizon Store under its terms. Taxes are added where the law requires. You get a receipt from Stripe or from Meta, not from us.
Refunds
If something on our side goes wrong, you are refunded without argument: a seed you paid for that cannot be planted, a run that filled while you were paying (that one is refunded by the shop itself), a packet that does not verify. Write to matrix@msaart.online with the seed's number or the time of the payment, and we put it right or refund it, usually within two working days.
A seed that has been planted is a digital item that has been delivered and used, so it is not refundable because you changed your mind; a planted maple cannot be taken back out of a grove. An unplanted seed bought on the web can be refunded on request within 14 days of purchase. Purchases through the Meta Horizon Store follow Meta's refund policy as well as this one.
Nothing here limits your rights under consumer law. Slow Grove is run from Australia, where the Australian Consumer Law applies: goods and digital content come with guarantees that cannot be excluded, and a failure to deliver what was sold is remedied or refunded under that law whatever this page says.
Gifting and fairness
A seed link can be given to someone else; whoever plants it first keeps it, so keep the link private until it is planted. Seeds are sold at the listed price to everyone. Buying seeds to resell them is not what they are for, and the game offers no marketplace for them.
